Second generation caner with over 40 years personal experience. Expert in all applications using British and American patterns on antique and modern furniture, including loom cane. All workmanship of the highest standard. Active in North West England and North Wales but will consider commissions from anywhere in the UK

Teaching:
• At all levels of competence. Experienced caners work on their own furniture but beginners are able to use a small frame in the shape of a simple bedroom chair which can be completed in one day. Researcher on the history of both caned furniture and the craft. Talks and demonstrations offered to groups.
