UK NATIVE SEED HUB at WAKEHURST PLACE

Willow artist Tom Hare has designed and made a series of willow sculptures that create a trail through the meadow and seed beds, A series of campion heads, giant harebells, wild carrot flower heads, oxeye daisy and husk sculptures.These have been on display since July. He is re-working the Seed pods that were at Kew and these will be added at the end of Oct. They look stunning!Adults :£12. Children:Free. Open daily 10am-4pm. CAMBODIAN RATTAN

This exhibition is made up of ten rattan sculptures by Sopheap Pich. Based in the USA for many years, this artist has returned to his native Cambodia in 2004. He has produced some interesting and unusual contemporary shapes out of woven rattan for this exhibition. www.metmuseum.org

FROM BARE STEMS

This exhibition is curated by Hilary Burns. It will focus on the Fishing, Farming and Fashion theme of the Basketry and Beyond Festival. It will show traditional and contemporary work side by side together with information about materialsand techniques. As High Cross House is National Trust, admission charges apply. Opening times 10.30am-5pm with late night on Thurs till 8pm.
